Fight Trainers
Sol Gilbert
Sol is the head coach and owner of ZT Fight Skool (as well as ZT Fitness and ZT Fight Night etc). Sol began his career as a professional Boxer and later moved to MMA where he quickly won British and European titles. As well as being a professional fighter (and running his busy ZT empire) Sol has also developed a range of fitness and conditioning classes using drills and techniques that are used by professional fighters – X-Classes.
Ryan White
Ryan ‘The Great’ White was one of ZT Fight Skool’s first members and quickly progressed in the sport under the coaching of Sol Gilbert. Ryan is an active top 10 ranked MMA fighter and teaches MMA alongside training for his MMA career.
Paul ‘The Punch Doctor’
Paul is a highly experienced Boxing coach with many years experience. Whether you are looking to sharpen up your standup skills or just get fit, Paul’s coaching will steer you in the right direction.
Kenny ‘Kenshiro’ Moyson
Kenny ‘Kenshiro’ Moyston (Kenshiro is a nickname taken from a manga cartoon character which Kenny is a fan of) started learning Thaiboxing in 2000 under Andy Mayo at Kings Gym in Eltham, and achieved a black belt level within 5 years. Kenny has been with ZT Fight Skool for four years and has built up a great class here.
Ivam ‘The Gent’ Maciel
Ivam ‘The Gent’ Maciel has been training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for many years and earned his Black Belt back in his home town of Curitiba in Brazil. Ivan’s methodical and detailed teaching methods have built a strong BJJ team at ZT Fight Skool. Ivam also teaches our professional MMA fight team to keep their ground game and submissions sharp. Being the ZT Fight Night Lightweight MMA champion, Ivam not only has excellent GI skills but is also dominant in No GI BJJ.
Saied Gholamie
Saied is a national wrestling champion and qualified wrestling instructor as well a regular MMA competitor who has fought many times domestically. Saied is also head coach and trainer in Tilgate

Fitness and Conditioning Trainers
Alex Backhouse
Alex has been a Personal Trainer since 2005 when he qualified with the YMCA at level 3.
Alex now runs ZTPT, the Personal Training company working out of ZT Fitness in Hove.
Having competed in several combat sports as well as working with other professional fighters, he has an excellent understanding of the training methods used by athletes to achieve their goals.
His workouts are tailored specifically to his clients needs, drawing on his wide-ranging knowledge of training methods as well as several years of experience in the industry. This means that each workout and program is individually designed with the client in mind.
Christian Vila
Christian has been in the health & fitness industry since 1998. He has a passion for training and helping others achieve their fitness goals. After graduating with a BA (Hons) Sports Science, Christian had the best training in this industry possible, leading to a level 3 Personal Training qualification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). All these years have made him one of the most experienced Personal Trainers in Brighton & Hove.
Holly Skinner
Holly has been a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer since 2007 as well as a CrossFit certified instructor for almost 2 years. She offers personal training and nutrition advice designed specifically for each client. Sessions are based on varied, functional movement that apply directly to life. Holly has produced outstanding results using the CrossFit method.
